The White Cliffs of the Seven Sisters

map showing route of White Cliffs Walk

Experience the windswept grandeur of the English Channel from atop the 400-ft high chalk cliffs of the Seven Sisters. Discover a Saxon-era chapel with an intriguing history, identify rare butterfly species in Friston Forest, and go beachcombing at the magical marine wildlife preserve of Cuckmere Haven. An aura of calm beauty envelops this estuary, long a favourite subject of the wartime artist Eric Ravilious.
